Speak to usIn this unit the students will experiment with different types of packaging to create artworks. The students will observe the trademarks on packaging and then design their own. They will view, discuss and represent Andy Warhol’s still life ‘Campbell’s Soup Cans’. They will sketch different types of packaging and then arrange these on a backing board in order to create a piece of artwork. The students will then view Tom Wesselmann’s Still Life #20 and attempt to sketch it from memory. They will arrange their own selection of packages and create their own still life artwork. Finally the students will create a sculpture using different types of packaging.
