In this unit, the students will learn about descriptions and will complete a variety of reading, writing and talking and listening tasks using toys as a theme. The students will identify words to describe toys, match descriptions to pictures of toys, match beginnings and endings of sentences to complete descriptions and will do a text reconstruction. In the writing component of the unit, the students will label pictures of toys and will write a description by choosing words from a grid which best describes their toy. They will write a “Who Am I?” and will also write a description of their favourite toy. In talking and Listening, the students will play “I Spy” and “Who am I?” based on popular toys.
