The Needs of a Town
This unit has been designed to help deepen the students’ understanding of towns, and how they are designed to provide people with services to meet their needs. The students will work together in a large group to design and make a town. Each student within the group will be responsible for a specific aspect of the town. They will be involved in doing research to discover more about the specific need of the people of a town that they have been allocated, and how that need is serviced. The students will also design and make a model of their specific facility, and will design a town plan. The students will then work in their group to put the model of the town together.
