In this unit the students will focus on their safety and their right to feel safe. The students will identify what safety means to them. They will describe and illustrate a special place where they feel safe and will investigate things that we sense which are safe and unsafe. They will share their experiences of feeling unsafe and describe how their body reacts when they are feeling unsafe. They will role-play situations where they are not feeling safe and will show the consequences of listening and then not listening to their early warning signs. The students will also identify a network of people who will help them when their safety is threatened.
