Playground Design
This unit has been designed to help deepen the students’ understanding of the design and functionality of playgrounds. The students will investigate two different playgrounds in the local community and will evaluate them in terms of their current state and functionality. They will choose one of the playgrounds in the local area and will interview others to investigate how the playground is used and how it could be improved. The students will then design and make a model of a new and improved playground and will present their proposal to a mock school executive or local council group.
