Plants are Living Things
In this unit, the students will investigate plants. They will identify plants as living things. They will be able to label the main parts of a plant and identify the purpose of these parts. The students will create a fair test to prove that plants need water. They will plant a seed and chart the changes which occur as the plant grows. The students will identify plants that people use for food. They will listen to a guest speaker and plant a vegetable garden.
