Planet Zartec
In this unit, the students will develop their understanding of the planets and the universe. They will create an imaginary planet called planet Zartec. They will create a role for themselves on this planet. NASA astronauts have discovered life on planet Zartec and are planning to send humans to visit. The people of Zartec are torn between allowing this or not, and must resolve the problem and make a decision about possible human contact. In the unit, the students will be encouraged to work in group situations, while developing their skills in expressing themselves creatively. They will create meaning in their drama through different forms such as storybuilding, depictions, improvisations and hot seats.
