Speak to usIn this unit, the students will explore their immediate school environment. They will identify the places that make up the school. They will identify the reasons why these places exist. The students will explore their own classroom and compare it with another classroom. They will choose a favourite spot in the school and they will discuss the reasons why they like this area. They will also think about ways that they can care for this place. They will identify the different people who make up their school environment and they will interview one of these people to find out more about their particular job. The students will recognise the importance of their role in the classroom. They will discuss the class jobs and demonstrate doing one of these jobs to help maintain the classroom.
