My Family Then and Now
In this unit, the students will explore their own families and the families of other class members. They will identify how their families are similar and how they are different. The students will explore aspects of their family’s past by creating a family tree and talking to older family members. They will recognise and share significant events in their own family history. The students will visit a museum, or view artefacts significant to family life in the past. They will bring in a significant family object and create their own class museum.
