It's All About Communicating
This unit of work is based on the theme “communication”. The tasks in all content strands will relate to this theme. The students will jointly construct and then independently construct a written recount about Alexander Graham Bell, an explanation about how a telephone or fax machine works and a discussion based on the topic, “The internet is the most effective means of communication”. The reading tasks are aimed at developing the students’ reading skills, and deepening their understanding of these different text types. The students will engage in talking and listening tasks, which will develop their listening skills and their understanding of oral descriptions, discussions and recounts.
