Hazards at Home and at School
In this unit, the students will identify hazards at home and at school that could potentially lead to an emergency situation. They will recognise ways to avoid emergency situations through their own behaviour and management of the environment. The students will identify emergency personnel and services that can help them in emergency situations. They will listen to guest speakers from the police and ambulance services and visit a fire brigade. The students will record emergency numbers and demonstrate making emergency phone calls.
