Government
This unit is based on Government and is linked to an HSIE unit on Government. The tasks in all content strands will relate to the topic. The students will jointly construct and then independently construct a recount, an explanation and an exposition. The reading tasks are aimed at developing the students’ reading skills, and deepening their understanding of the organisational structures of different types of texts. The students will engage in talking and listening tasks which will develop their skills by participating in a class version of question time,
a debate, and creating their own version of “This is Your Life”
