Fantasy
In this unit of work, the students will be immersed in literary texts based on fantasy characters and/or events. They will have a variety of fantasy texts read to them and they will respond to these texts in the reading, writing and talking & listening components of the unit. The students will be introduced to narrative writing as a text type. They will contribute to the joint construction of narratives and write a simple story of their own. The students will also write a recount in this unit of work.
