Speak to usIn this unit, the students will investigate eating out in the local area. The students will go for a walk around the local area and identify the different places where they can eat out. They will categorise these eateries. They will identify advantages and disadvantages of eating out and will survey others to find out why they eat out. The students will then recall the last time they ate out. They will identify these eateries on a map and will make generalisations about the types of places where people eat out. The students will then identify the differences between two types of restaurants. They will focus on fast food restaurants and investigate the different products sold and the nutritional value of the food that they have to offer. Finally the students will use all this information to create and make a healthy product which they can sell at the tuckshop which they will turn into a healthy fast food restaurant.
