Drawing
In this unit, the students will be given the opportunity to develop their understanding of the different techniques and tools used in drawing. The students will identify a human face in a magazine and will discuss the features of the face. They will then create a mirror image of their chosen face, paying attention to detail. The students will then discuss examples of human figure, still life and landscape drawings. They will discuss the subject matter, the form and techniques used in the drawings. The students will then select different tools and experiment with creating their own pieces of art with these different types of subject matter as the focus.
