Communication With Signs and Symbols
This unit has been designed to help deepen the students’ understanding of ways of sending and receiving information. The students will be involved in doing research on a specific means of communication. They will examine the telephone as a means of communicating and will identify and demonstrate skills, which will enable them to use this method of communication effectively and in a range of situations. The students will then design and make their own means of communicating over a given distance.
