Speak to usIn this unit the students will investigate beliefs that are held within the wider community. The students will identify and interview people in the community about their beliefs. They will list the beliefs recorded in the interview and categorise them as either religious beliefs or beliefs in a particular cause. The students will then examine beliefs that can be found in books written for children. They will then identify a public figure such as Princess Diana, Ian Kiernan etc and research the beliefs that they hold, how they have shared these beliefs and the affect that they have had on other people. They will then look at Aboriginal dreaming stories and identify the beliefs and create a presentation which reflects these beliefs. Finally the students will reflect upon their own beliefs and will communicate their belief through a particular means e.g. story, picture or poster.
