Speak to usIn this unit, the students will focus on the relationships that they have with their friends. They will identify, describe and categorise their friends according to how they know them. The will identify the qualities of good friends and will create an A to Z of friendship. The students will do a quick quiz to see how much they know about a friend in the class and will then interview them to see how accurate they were. They will identify behaviours which are typical of a good friend and will describe a friend who demonstrates these behaviours. The students will then appreciate the fact that even the best of friends can have disagreements. They will reflect upon a disagreement, which they have had with a friend and consider ways in which it could have been avoided and different ways in which it could have been solved. The students will be involved in role playing problem situations, after having examined possible solutions and consequences. Finally the students will write a letter to a friend in the class describing the behaviours they demonstrate which make them a good friend.
