Area 2
In this unit the students will investigate the concept of area. The students will choose two books and will use direct comparison to investigate which is the biggest. They will then find other books which are bigger, others which are smaller and others which are the same size. The students will also use a computer-drawing tool to draw two different shapes. They will compare the area of the shapes by direct comparison and then by cutting one and gluing it in on the other.
