Advertising Sells!
In this unit, the students will work in small groups to create, produce and record a television commercial based on a product that they have made up. The students will begin by watching advertisements and will identify the elements of a T.V commercial, including the logo, jingle, background music, actors and their dialogue and voiceovers. The students will then work to create each of these elements for their own product. Having done this, they will rehearse and put their advertisement together, recording it when they believe it will sell their product. The students will then watch each other’s advertisements critically evaluating them in terms of how effective they are in selling the product.
