Addition and Subtraction 8
In this unit the students will investigate the concept of subtraction. They will play a game of skittles and identify the number they bowled over and the number left standing. The students will use numeral and word cards to record this in the form of a subtraction number sentence. The students will also use flip tiles to explore subtraction. They will record their work on a chart using the terms “take away” and “leaves”.
