Addition and Subtraction 1
In this unit the students will investigate addition. They will sort a small container of objects and join two groups. They will identify the number in each group and the number altogether. The students will also use fliptiles to investigate combinations of numbers. They will use language such as ‘and’ ‘makes’ ‘altogether’. The students may begin to record their work pictorially.
