A Cultural Study of the Regions of Indonesia
In this unit, the students will explore the regions within Indonesia. They will identify the term “culture” and discuss some aspects of Australian culture. The students will explore the culture of Bali as a whole group. They will locate Bali and identify facts such as landforms, climate, agriculture and population. The students will then explore facts about the history, religions, foods, customs and celebrations typical of Balinese culture. The students will form small groups to research and explore another region within Indonesia. As a culmination to the study, the students will present their work at a class “Tourism Expo”.
