2D Space 3.1
In this unit, the students will investigate 2 dimensional shapes. The students will sort 2 dimensional shapes by attributes such as sides, vertices, angles, symmetry, diagonals and parallel lines. The students will then construct shapes with different numbers of sides on the Geoboard. They will describe the shapes in as many different ways as possible by measuring the length of sides, the perimeter, the area, by identifying symmetry and its ability to tessellate etc
