In this unit the students will investigate symmetry. They will create different shapes using pieces of a tangram and will investigate the symmetry in these shapes. The students will also choose one regular shape and will investigate its symmetry. They will find other shapes that have the same number of lines of symmetry and will discuss the reasons why.
